Animated Personal Test

A spec commercial a friend and I tried to do, not to sell. Really limited animation. Not finished. This was a test for us to see how much work it takes to create an animated commercial. Animated, no inbetweens, and cleaned up traditionally on paper. Colored in photoshop and edited with Final Cut Pro.
I designed 3 main characters, cleaned up and edited and my friend designed BGs, BG characters and animated.

Ernie Walks Clean Up

Here is my inking of Ernie Walks drawing and Slab drawing. I started using Harmony. I'm not sure if it's the default settings. But the brush lines seem sharper.

Another Try at Inking Jonk K drawing.

Here's another attempt to inking a John K drawing. I just can't get that smooth clean line. Maybe it's the settings in Animate pro. I would like the nice sharp lines. The lines still look bubbly. Or maybe I need more practice. If I go at this rate cleaning up animation would take a long time to do. I think I have to have pin striping skills like Von Dutch had with a brush. Well here's another try.

Second Attempt to ink a John K character.

Here is my second attempt to ink a John K character. I tried to capture the colors from a screen shot I found. I'm sure there are alot of corrections needed, but I'd like to learn to do this correctly. I'm getting the hang of Animate Pro. Still have some questions about it. But I'm hoping I learn more, by doing this type of work.
