Been Watching A lot of Looney Tunes

I've been practicing animating using TVPaint. And been watching a lot of Looney Tunes Cartoons. I would like to animate like the Looney Tunes cartoons. So many different styles from WB directors. I like the Bob Clampett Cartoons. So, I tried to draw from Bob Clampett's model sheets. Really hard to get it right. These were drawn in TVPaint. I tried to throw in my own style. But would love to animate with these type of drawings. Classic animation.

Been trying to practice animating. Here's some rough animation. Need lots to learn. I've been using Toonboom Animate Pro and TVPaint. They both work great. Need to practice keeping characters on model. My models end up getting bigger towards the end.

 

Ernie Walks Clean Up

Here is my inking of Ernie Walks drawing and Slab drawing. I started using Harmony. I'm not sure if it's the default settings. But the brush lines seem sharper.

Another Try at Inking Jonk K drawing.

Here's another attempt to inking a John K drawing. I just can't get that smooth clean line. Maybe it's the settings in Animate pro. I would like the nice sharp lines. The lines still look bubbly. Or maybe I need more practice. If I go at this rate cleaning up animation would take a long time to do. I think I have to have pin striping skills like Von Dutch had with a brush. Well here's another try.

Second Attempt to ink a John K character.

Here is my second attempt to ink a John K character. I tried to capture the colors from a screen shot I found. I'm sure there are alot of corrections needed, but I'd like to learn to do this correctly. I'm getting the hang of Animate Pro. Still have some questions about it. But I'm hoping I learn more, by doing this type of work.

Stop Motion Experimenting.

Here's some stop motion I was experimenting with. I used an old Joker doll I have. I animated using Dragonframe and a cheap web cam. I still need to practice. I might get a good camera later. I tried animating to some audio. Its rough, hope you like it.

 

Tried some more animation. I shot this on 4s. Trying to get the feel of timing. Its hard, but I'm gonna keep practicing.
